Eddy
A daily practice for breath and stillness.
Paced breathwork from an evidence-labeled protocol library, a meditation timer, and a journal that shows what changes alongside the practice. A ripple-rings pacer carries each breath; finished sessions can log to Apple Health as mindful minutes.
Eight protocols, each labeled against the literature. One is rated moderate, and only for short-term effects: coherent breathing's rise in heart-rate variability and smaller drop in blood pressure in the minutes after a session. Its largest trial found it did no better than a placebo breathing pace on stress or mood. Five are emerging: cyclic sighing, box breathing and cyclic hyperventilation, each one arm of a single small trial; reduced breathing, with low-certainty evidence for asthma symptoms only; and Wim Hof rounds, practiced with no immune or disease claims. Two are carried as traditional practice with no clinical claim (4-7-8, alternate nostril). The fast-breathing and reduced-breathing protocols sit behind a written safety gate and out of quick start. No health claim ships without a citation; thin evidence and null results are said plainly.
